Wine Pairing of the Week: Prosciutto di Parma Salad and Mira Rosé

I’m a huge fan of salads and am always mixing together new ingredients to find something I like. This Prosciutto di Parma and Blueberry salad is absolutely delicious and so easy to pull together. It includes some of my favorite ingredients including macadamia nuts, goat cheese, blueberries, and prosciutto. And the perfect wine to complement this tasty salad? I highly recommend the Ferry Lacombe Mira Rosé – well-balanced and fresh on the palate. Read on for recipe and wine details!

Wine: Ferry Lacombe Mira Rosé 2017

This Rosé comes from “sustainable practice” vineyards in France and is made up of 80% Grenache and 20% Granache Blanc. Dry and fruity with lemon, mandarin, and light berry on the palate.

Prosciutto di Parma and Blueberry Salad:

This salad is perfect for entertaining or an easy dinner at home. Its simple to throw together and the ingredients are the perfect balance of sweet and salty.

Ingredients and Recipe:
  • 1 Bag Mixed Greens (Spinach and Arugula)
  • 1 Small Container of Blueberries (1 Cup)
  • 15 Macademia Nuts (chopped)
  • 8-10 Slices of Prosciutto
  • 1 Cup Crumbled Goat Cheese (OK to remove if dairy-free)


  • 1 Tablespoon Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Maple Syrup
Chop Macademia nuts. Slice prosciutto into small pieces. Layer mixed greens, blueberries, nuts, and prosciutto in a bowl. Make dressing by mixing olive oil, vinegar, and maple syrup. Pour over salad ingredients and mix together. Add crumbled goat cheese over the top and serve immediately or chilled
