Romantic Wineries You Must Visit in Wine Country

February is the month of romance in Wine Country. There is really nothing more romantic than sweeping vineyard views, heavenly wines, and beautiful sunsets to enjoy with your loved one. In this post, I’m going to share the wineries you MUST visit if you’re looking for a romantic trip with your favorite person.

1. Artesa:

Whats better than a wine tasting? Wine AND chocolate! Artesa has a red wine and chocolate truffle pairing that goes for $60 per person if you want to splurge. The tasting room is a Spanish influenced, modern building with a (very) grand entrance including sweeping views of the vineyards, statues, and infinity pools. Doesn’t get much more romantic than that! Location: Napa

2. Chateau St. Jean:

The tasting room originated as a summer home for a wealthy family in the 1920’s and has since turned into a gorgeous tasting room. This vintage, European influenced landmark is a must-visit for couples. Location: Sonoma

3. Cliff Lede:

A great stop for the rock’n’roll lovers in your life. This winery features two large heart statues in the back terrace, which is very fitting for Valentines day. Read more about this winery here! Location: Yountville (Napa County)

4. Newton:

Nestled on top of Spring Mountain in St. Helena in Napa Valley, this winery features breathtaking views and a perfectly manicured garden. The tasting experience is very intimate, as they like to keep their groups small. This really makes for a special and unique experience for you and your partner. Location: St. Helena (Napa Valley)

5. Mumm:

Every occasion needs to include some sparkling wine, which is what makes Mumm a great tasting experience for couples. Their tasting room includes an expansive patio with a gorgeous white pergola. Time to pop some bubbly! Read more here. Location: Rutherford (Napa)

6. Hess:

The Hess tasting room is a beautiful stone building that was originally constructed in 1903 and opened as a public tasting room in 1989. Hess features a large modern art museum with some interesting art pieces for a fun activity outside of just tasting their delicious wines. They are mostly known for their flagship Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Location: Napa

7. CADE winery:

Located up in Howell Mountain, this ultra modern and sleek tasting room screams luxury. Howell mountain is known for its unique microclimates which produces some award-winning red wines. If you’re looking to spoil your loved one, this tasting experience should be on your list. The unbelievable views, private experience, and incredible wines will be worth every penny.
