Larson Family Winery Review: Bags & Bocce

Overview:

Larson Family is one of the best Sonoma locations for groups and families. One of the few wineries that allows you to reserve a picnic table at no additional cost and bring your own food. Great for all ages and bring the pup!

Atmosphere:

Wide open grassy space with surrounding picnic tables. Grassy space includes two sets of bags (i.e. cornhole depending on where you’re from) with a large bocce ball court beside it. Very casual and perfect for large groups. They have some adorable and very friendly labs that are usually hanging out with winery guests. Known to be a good spot for birthday parties or celebrations. This is my place to go with a group of friends and BYOB charcuterie/picnic.

Location:

23355 Millerick Rd, Sonoma, CA 95476

What you should know:

This is THE perfect spot for a picnic with a group looking to do more than just taste wine (although their wine is tasty!). Bags games and big outdoor space make it a great summer activity. Large groups are welcome, just make sure to reserve a table in advance.

Reservations:

Required for picnic table/outdoor reservations. Not required for indoor tastings (groups under 9).

Standout Wine(s):

Three Lab Cab: Combination of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Syrah, and Merlot. Dark, smooth, and tastes of cherry. Also comes with the cutest label including their 3 labs.
