Domaine Carneros Winery Review: Chateau Life

Domaine Carneros is a popular chateau in Napa that is known for their sparkling wine and pinot noir. Their chateau is a breathtaking site alone and
is conveniently located between Napa and Sonoma.

The facade of the Domaine Carneros Chateau is stunning and their entrance includes a grand staircase leading up to the front patio, which includes tables for their tastings. This chateau is kind of a landmark and conveniently located on the southern tip of Napa, so it is usually pretty busy.

What you should know:

Highly recommend sitting outside, where you can take in sweeping vineyard views. Plenty of photo ops are available anywhere in front of the chateau. Try going right when it opens or towards the end of the day (10am or 4:30PM) if you want to avoid loads of people.

Reservation required. Their cheapest tasting is $30 per person. They also offer tours for $50 per person. They do offer “speciality tastings” for those looking for a high end/private experience.

Standout Wine:

2014 Brut Rosé: Fruity and floral rosé that is well balanced and delicious!

Price: Mid Range ($30)
