California Rosés You Need To Try This Spring

I don’t about you, but I’ve been on a real rosé kick lately. I think it might have something to do with the change of seasons and the extra hour of sunlight now that Spring is here to stay. Rosé is a wine that is appropriate for all occasions in my opinion, especially for happy hours and events where you’d prefer not to get the unfortunate “red teeth” problem you get with heavier red wines. It’s also perfect for a hot day when you just want a cold refreshment.

Below is a list of California Rosés (both still and sparkling) that I’ve been really enjoying recently. I typically enjoy a light, fruity, and dry rosé that isn’t sweet. Happy rosé season!

1. Niki’s Pinot Noir Rosé(Livermore) – $30

Flavorful and vibrant Rosé from Wente Winery with flavors of fresh cantaloupe, strawberries, and raspberries (link).

2. Red Car Wine Rosé of Pinot Noir (West Sonoma)

Grapefruit, strawberry, and hints of tangerine (link).

3. Mumm Napa Brut Rosé (Napa) – $24

Their signature brut rosé is very accessible and is great for any occasion. Pale pink color with vibrant red fruits (link).

4. Daou Rosé (Paso Robles) – $40

Similar to a Provence style rosé. Dry and perfect for the season (link).

5. Starmont Winery Rosé (Carneros/Napa) – $20

Vibrant acidity with hints of watermelon and strawberry (link).

6. Balletto Rosé (Russian Rivery Valley) – $20 and under

Light, delicate, and all around delicious (link).
